Allergen Alert: Vastland Lemon Wafer Cookies

Brooklyn, NY - May 6, 2000 - Strong International Trading Corp. is recalling 2,520 bags of Vastland Lemon Wafer Cookies because product may contain undeclared peanuts.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Product was distributed to the New York state area.

Lemon wafers are recalled in 200 gm. plastic bags.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing peanuts was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of peanuts.

Consumers who have Vastland Brand Lemon Wafers can return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 718-628-6200.
