Anxuyen Bakery Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Eggs and Milk in Sweet Rolls

Seatac, WA - June 6, 2002 -- Anxuyen Bakery, Seatac, WA is recalling 12 oz. packages of sweet rolls, because they contain undeclared eggs and milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs or milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The sweet rolls were distributed to Asian retail markets in Seattle, WA.

The sweet rolls are packaged in a clear plastic bag labeled ANXUYEN BAKERY and a picture of 3 different bread products. Each bag contains 12 rolls. The product name, sweet rolls, is not stated on the package. There is no manufacturing code on the product.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing milk and eggs was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk and eggs. Consumers who have purchased Anxuyen Bakery sweet rolls are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 206 878-4086.
