Awrey Bakeries of Livonia Michigan is recalling all lots:

Awrey Brand 8 Pack Date Nut Bars 10.75 ounce (sold at room temperature)
Awrey Brand 8 Pack Date Oatmeal Bars 12 ounce (sold at room temperature)
Awrey Brand Twin Pack Strawberry Bars (sold at room temperature)
Awrey Brand Twin Pack Date Nut Bars(sold at room temperature)
Awrey Brand 12x16 Chocolate Peanut Butter Sensation (frozen, fully baked)
GFS Brand Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie (frozen, fully baked)
Sysco Classic Brand 12x16 Chocolate Peanut Butter Sensation (frozen, fully baked)

The products are being recalled because of undeclared nonfat milk. Although the amount of milk in the product is extremely small, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to dairy products run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

Awrey Bakeries of Livonia Michigan is also recalling all lots:

Awrey product number 1125-35, Awrey Brand 2 ounce Sliced Buttermilk Biscuit (frozen, 5 dozen fully baked biscuits sold by the case only by GFS)
Awrey product number 1140-35, Awrey Brand 2 ounce Country Hy Biscuit (frozen, 4 dozen fully baked biscuits sold by the case only by GFS)

The products are being recalled because of undeclared egg in the formula. Although the amount of egg in the product is extremely small, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg products run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled products are distributed by Awrey's Bakeries, Inc. located at 12301 Farmington Road, Livonia, Michigan. The bars were distributed in Michigan and New York. The peanut butter brownies and peanut butter sensations were distributed in Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. The biscuits were distributed in Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee.

The eight pack bars are packaged on a flat corrugated board or in a paperboard tray that is over wrapped in cellophane.

The twin pack bars are wrapped in a poly film.

The 12x16 peanut butter brownies and peanut butter sensations are packaged in a corrugated tray that is wrapped in a poly film.

The biscuits are poly wrapped in a corrugated case.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these products.

The recall was initiated after the manufacturer discovered that the ingredient statements on the labels and film did not list nonfat milk, or in the case of the biscuits, eggs. All bars, peanut butter brownies, and 2 ounce biscuits distributed by Awrey Bakeries, Inc. after December 13, 2001 have the correct label and are not involved in this recall notice.

Consumers who are allergic to milk or eggs and have purchased any of these products are urged to return them to the store of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-734-513-4260. This product is being recalled in cooperation with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
