YONKERS, N.Y. - February 8, 2001 - LA MEXICANA ENTERPRISES INC. is recalling 3 oz. packages of BOTANA DE FIESTA assorted snacks, spicy. The product contains undeclared peanuts.

People who are allergic or highly sensitive to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The recalled product was distributed in New York and New Jersey.

The recall was initiated after New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets inspectors discovered that the product did not declare peanuts on its label.

Consumers who have purchased 3 ounce plastic bags of BOTANAS DE FIESTA can return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 718-672-4141.
