Country Club Cookies N' Cream Ice Cream Recalled Due to Undeclared Peanuts

Cincinnati, OH - November 22, 2002 -- Inter-American Products, Inc. today announced it is recalling half-gallon cartons of Country Club DELUXE Cookies N' Cream Ice Cream because the product may contain undeclared peanuts.

The half-gallon cartons carry the code 198213-870 and were distributed to various retail stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee and Puerto Rico.

Consumers who purchased Country Club DELUXE Cookies N' Cream Ice Cream bearing the above-listed code, and who are allergic to peanuts, should not consume the product since they may experience a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. Consumers should return the product to the store for a full refund.

To date, the company has found just one carton of the ice cream that contained peanuts not declared on the label.
