Dinstuhl's Candies Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in Assorted Chocolates, Assorted Chocolate Covered Nuts, and Peanut Butter Bars

Memphis, TN - October 31, 2001 -- Dinstuhl's Candies of Memphis, Tennessee is recalling 300 boxes of Assorted Chocolates and Assorted Chocolate Covered Nuts, because they may contain undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

Assorted Chocolates, and Assorted Chocolate Covered Nuts was distributed in Dinstuhl's Candy Stores in the Memphis area and informed customers by a sign placed in each store.

These boxes can be identified as a gold box labeled "Gold Select" and "Gold Select" with an attached label of "Assorted Nuts".

There have been no reported cases of illness connected to the sale of either of these items.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that products containing milk were distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk.

Customers who purchased this product in error may return unopened product from its place of purchase for a full refund.
