Dominick's Voluntarily Recalls Lucerne Mud Pie Ice Cream

Oak Brook, IL - October 26, 2001 - Dominick’s announced today that it is voluntarily recalling one-gallon Lucerne Mud Pie Ice Cream. The ice cream is sold in square containers and identified with the following information on the side band of the lid:
Best Before May 17/02

The product is being recalled because it may contain undeclared peanuts. Peanuts may cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction in some people. Individuals with known allergies to peanuts are advised not to consume the product.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

This product was distributed to Dominick’s stores in the state of Illinois. Consumers who have Lucerne Mud Pie Ice Cream bearing the above date (Best Before May 17/02) are urged to return the product to Dominick’s for a full refund.
