Gilster-Mary Lee Issues Voluntary Recall of 7.25 Oz. Safeway Brand Macaroni and Cheese

Gilster-Mary Lee announced today it is voluntarily recalling boxes of 7.25 oz. Safeway brand Macaroni and Cheese identified with the code numbers:

FEB2500C21
FEB2600A21
MAR0400B21
MAR0400C21

These codes may be found embossed on the top flap of the box. The product is being recalled because eight customers in Northern California reported finding small pieces of glass in the product. Gilster-Mary Lee manufactures the product for Safeway Inc.

The affected Safeway brand Macaroni and Cheese product was distributed to stores in northern California, western Nevada, Hawaii, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Dakota, Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Safeway has removed product with the above codes from all Safeway stores and distribution centers in these areas. Pak 'n Save stores in Northern California also removed product with the above codes from sale.

The product should be discarded and not consumed. Customers who wish to obtain a refund should discard the macaroni and cheese packets and return the box to their local Safeway store.
