Global Enterprises Recalls T3

College Station, Texas, September 5, 2001-- Global Enterprises is recalling T3, a dietary supplement, because it contains tiratricol, also known as triiodothyroacetic acid or TRIAC, a potent thyroid hormone that may cause serious health consequences including heart attacks and strokes.

The T3 was distributed nationwide to retail stores and sold via mail order. T3 is packaged in 90-count capsules in white bottles with black labels. All lot numbers are affected by this recall.

No illnesses have been reported to date from T3. This recall is being conducted with full knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Global Enterprises urges all individuals who may have purchased this product, or any product containing tiratricol, to stop using them immediately and, in addition, to consult their health professional if they are experiencing any adverse effects, which may include insomnia, nervousness, sweating, and diarrhea.
