Guida's Dairy Recalls Lowfat Milk Product Due to Undeclared Pasteurized Egg Yolks

New Britain, CT- November 27, 2001 -- Guida's Dairy of New Britain, Connecticut is voluntarily recalling the following:

1% Lowfat Milk, Guida Label Gallon Dec. 9, 2001 8:00 AM- 9:40 AM
1% Lowfat Milk, Guida Label Half pints (8-oz) Dec. 8, 2001  

These products are being recalled because a very small quantity of pasteurized Egg Nog may have been mixed into a small portion of these lots. People who are allergic to egg yolks run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The products were distributed in New Jersey, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut , Rhode Island, Massachusetts.

Consumers who allergic to egg yolks are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
