State Agriculture Commissioner Announces Warning for Undeclared Sulfites in Dehydrated Lily Flowers

State Agriculture Commissioner Nathan L. Rudgers today announced YBL World Wide Trading Inc., 651A Lexington Ave., Brooklyn, New York, Inc. is voluntarily recalling Fly Horse Brand Dehydrated Lily Flowers imported from China because they contain undeclared sulfites. Sulfites can cause deadly reactions in asthmatics and others suffering sulfite allergies.

The product, Fly Horse Dehydrated Lily Flowers, is packaged in uncoded 6 oz. heat-sealed plastic bags and was distributed primarily in the New York City metropolitan area.

Routine sampling by food inspectors for the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets revealed the product contained high levels of sulfites, which were not declared on the label.

Sulfite sensitive individuals are advised not to consume Fly Horse Brand Dehydrated Lily Flowers and to return the product to the place of purchase.
