Quaker Oats Recalling Apple Cinnamon Quakes Crispy Mini Rice Snacks


Chicago, IL - March 29, 2002 -- Quaker Oats is voluntarily recalling Apple Cinnamon Quakes crispy mini rice snacks. The recall is focused on approximately 50 cases to 100 cases of the rice snacks, which may contain a dairy-based seasoning. While no illnesses have been reported, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The product is packaged in 3.52-ounce bags with the "Best Before" date of AUG1202 CZ1XX (note: the XX can denote 01 to and including 07). Quaker has notified retail customers to remove the product from store shelves. The Company also has notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of the recall. No other Quakes rice snacks products are affected.
