Initiated in 1916, the Collegiate Dairy Products
Evaluation Contest has had a phenomenal record of growth and
industry participation.Dairy industry companies are strong
supporters of the contest, and show their support by donating and
storing contest samples, as well as providing proctors, scorers, and
official judges.
Three organizations serve as sponsors for the Contest: The
International Association of Food Industry Suppliers, The American
Dairy Science Association, and the USDA, Agricultural Marketing
Service, Dairy Programs.
The Contest represents the intense training of students by
college professors who are experts in dairy product evaluation.
