- Provides timely and accurate volume and pricing information needed for an orderly and
efficient marketing system for milk and dairy products
Promotion and research programs
- National Fluid Milk Processor Program - Provides a consumer hotline,
1-800-WHY-MILK,
available 24 hours a day. This hotline offers information and consumer brochures about a
range of topics: milk and fitness, recipe ideas, and nutrition. There is also a medical
advisory board to provide medical and scientific advice.
- National Dairy Producer Program - The National Dairy Council, Dairy Managment Inc., and
many Qualified Programs are working together to increase school participation in the
school breakfast program. This program provides a healthy breakfast (of which milk is an
important component) to children before school starts.
