Land Grant University Information
"Land grant" refers to those institutions, at least one
in each state, that originally received federal aid in the form of
a land grant for the establishment of agricultural and mechanical
programs under the auspices of the Morrill Acts of 1862 and 1890.
Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs)
Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) are accredited and degree-granting
public or private nonprofit institutions of higher education with
at least 25 percent or more total undergraduate Hispanic full-time
equivalent student enrollment.

(WHITCU) leads the implementation of Executive Order 13021, ensuring
that the Tribal Colleges are more fully recognized and have full access
to federal programs benefiting other higher education institutions.
