Viewing/Printing FastLane forms within FastLane using Adobe Reader
If you have installed and configured Adobe Reader,
you can view/print the forms you have filled
out using FastLane exactly as they will be viewed/printed
at NSF. To install Adobe Reader on your computer:
- Select the "How to Use FastLane" link on the FastLane
Home Page
- Select the "Free Software From Adobe" link
- Scroll down to where you see "Released Software Adobe(R)
Acrobat(R) Reader 2.1 for:
Windows(R)
Macintosh(R)
Sun(TM) SPARC(R)
HP/UX(TM)
Silicon Graphics(R)
IBM AIX
and select your platform.
- Select the correct "Download" link and then where
you want to install the software.
Once you have Adobe Reader on your computer, it is likely that you will have to
configure your browser to launch Adobe Reader. If you are
a Netscape user and you get an error message when you select a
FastLane View/p rint button, please do the following:
- Open Netscape and choose the "Options" menu
item.
- Select "General Preferences."
- On that screen select "Helpers."
- Select "application/pdf."
- Type "pdf" next to file extensions if it is
not there.
- Select the "Launch Application" option and
type in the location of the acroread.exe file. {For instance if you installed Adobe
Acrobat Reader on your c drive, type in c:\ACROREAD\ACROREAD.EXE.}
- Click on "OK."
- Go back to FastLane and print a form using the FastLane
Print button.
- If this does not work, email fastlane@nsf.gov.
