The Federal Trade Commissions Bureau of Consumer
Protection held a public workshop on Consumer Information Privacy June 10-13, 1997.
The workshop is part of the Bureaus Consumer Privacy Initiative, an ongoing effort
to bring consumers and businesses together to address consumer privacy issues posed by the
emerging online marketplace. A transcript of the workshop will be posted on or before July
31, 1997.
