information on the Surgeon General's Report on Oral Health, which
was released May 25, 2000. On April 9, 1997, Secretary Donna E.
Shalala commissioned the first Surgeon General's Report on Oral
Health. Oral, dental, and craniofacial diseases, conditions, and
health have been included in previous Surgeon General's Reports,
but this is the first report dedicated to these subjects.
