"Database access problems due to firewalls"

If you are a government or military user with a valid User-ID and current Password, and are unable to access the ACASS/CCASS databases on the web, please contact the Help Desk at (503) 808-4590.

If it is determined that your problem is due to a firewall constraint, you will be provided with a telephone number, and directed to have your " firewall person" contact our Firewall Center. The Firewall Center will need to have the following information:

ACASS Web-based Performance Evaluation Form

The ACASS web-based performance evaluation form is now available for the 11/92 version of the DD2631. It was designed to allow users to enter an entire evaluation directly into the database (similar to the CCASS web form). Once the data has been entered, it is automatically processed in the database within 5 to 15 minutes. Users may opt to use either the web-based form or the PC Program.

Due to technical difficulties, the development and deployment of the 4/99 version of the DD2631 web-based form for entering ACASS performance evaluations has been significantly delayed. It is planned to incorporate this ability during the ACASS/CCASS System Enhancement. Please continue to view this web page for further information. Refer to ACASS Performance Evaluation Form Version Instructions for instructions about converting the DD2631 dated Apr 99 to the DD2631 dated Nov 92.

ACASS Performance Evaluation Form Version Instructions

All performance evaluations must be completed on the DD2631 Nov 92 edition of the form until the ACASS database and associated tools are redesigned to accommodate the new form.

All performance evaluations which were completed on DD2631 Apr 99 edition must be converted to the DD2631 Nov 92 edition and submitted to the ACASS database using the following instructions.

If the evaluation was completed on the new DD 2631 (Apr 99 edition), then the rating official needs to take a blank old DD 2631 (11-92 edition) and mark only the adjustments needed input the evaluation into the ACASS PC program which is based on the old DD 2631. Specifically:

The rating official would also show contract number and delivery order number (if applicable). Also, add a standard note in the Remarks (Block 20). EXAMPLE: "Evaluation adjusted for ACASS entry using 11-92 edition of DD 2631." The rating and reviewing officials would then sign the old version of the form. The old and new version of the form would be stapled together and placed in the contract file after entry into ACASS.

Connecting to ACASS and CCASS.

Network Connection using communications software (Telnet, SignaTerm):

Warning: There are other database systems on the same server as ACASS and CCASS. The "setupacs" command modifies the user's ".login" file to allow access to ACASS and CCASS. This command may delete script in the user's ".login" file pointing to other applications. If the user can not access other applications, after running the "setupacs" command, please call CAIC Help Desk, (503) 808-4590.

DD2631 Field and Form Validation

There are validation checks made at the field level, and at the form level upon submit. An alert box appears at the field level, and a web page on the form level. You may print this page and use it as needed. Remember to close this page before returning to the form. With each error there is a possible action/solution listed via the Errors/Solutions List button. If there are no errors found, then a successful submit message should appear. The data is then transferred to the database within 15 minutes. If you have multiple evaluations to enter, after submitting an evaluation, you may hit the back button and make changes to the information you already entered. This may or may not reduce the amount of data entry time. A few tips regarding data entry may be found below…

DD2626 Field and Form Validation
