This site has been designed to meet 508 compliance standards. If you have any problems accessing any of the pages in this site, please contact one of the support people listed below to obtain the material you need in a format accessible to you.
Our mission is
to provide you with links to relevant FAQ's, requirements, and tools/technical
solutions to enable you to bring your web pages into compliance with Section
508. Section 508 covers many different areas that do not apply to our focus,
"all that is web." We will try to highlight that which help you in the creation
of a web site that is as assessable as possible. The content of this site will change frequently, and whenever
possible, when information changes or corrections are made, it will be noted.
The accuracy of any particular statement, in regards to legal issues, should
always be verified before you take action, and defer to the opinion of your
command's legal counsel in case of disagreement.
Please look at this site as not only a reference source for information about
508 compliance, but also as a good-practices template. Wherever possible, the
code on this site has been written with 508 standards, and examples of how to
provide 508 compliant code have been utilized in discussion and within the document
itself. The Web Development Guidelines slide presentation linked on this page
is an example of how to provide alternate content for users who need assistive
technologies.
