Transferring technology to the commercial sector is a responsibility of each DOE laboratory in support of U.S. industrial competitiveness and the INEEL has hundreds of technologies and capabilities to make available. We also provide technical assistance to local industry and community organizations and share technology across the DOE complex and among other federal agencies to maximize use of laboratory technology.

Technology developed at the INEEL centers around the commercialization of environmental management, nuclear energy, and general energy applications. The Technology Transfer group works closely with the INEEL programs to identify and pursue technology commercialization and business development opportunities.

If you would like to license an INEEL technology, share in R&D, start or expand a business with INEEL technologies, our technology transfer team is happy to form a business partnership using the following contractual mechanisms below.

  • CRADAs
  • Licensing
  • Work for Others agreements
  • Spinoff companies.
