Important Information for Applicants Regarding Mail Delays

Due to security concerns on Capitol Hill, mail delivery from the US Postal Service is experiencing significant delays. As a result, applicants to CRS positions are strongly encouraged to apply online (the recommended browsers for applying online are Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later, or Netscape Navigator version 4.7 or later).

If you choose to submit a hard-copy application, we recommend that you send it via Fed-Ex or UPS and that you allow at least 72 hours for delivery, even for overnight packages. If you live in the Washington-metro area, you may also hand-deliver your application to the Library of Congress Employment Office, which is located at 101 Independence Avenue SE, Room LM-107, Washington DC 20540-2295.
