ACES: Active Community Environments Initiative
A CDC-sponsored initiative to
promote walking, bicycling, and the development of accessible recreation
facilities.
BAM! Body and MindTM
BAM! Body and Mind Designed for kids 9–13 years old, BAM! Body and Mind
gives them the information they need to make healthy lifestyle choices.
The site focuses on topics that kids told us are important to them — such
as stress and physical fitness — using kid-friendly lingo, games, quizzes,

Program
The IMMPaCt Program is a global effort to eliminate micronutrient
malnutrition. IMMPaCt is committed to aid nations in establishing
micronutrient interventions, and building surveillance systems to monitor
the impact of these projects.
KidsWalk-to-School
CDC has developed KidsWalk-to-School, a guide that encourages
individuals and organizations to work together to identify and create safe
walking routes to school.
National Bone Health Campaign
Powerful Bones. Powerful Girls.TM Educates
and encourages girls aged 9 to 12 years to establish lifelong, healthy
habits that build and maintain strong bones.
Obesity and Overweight State Programs
CDC's State-based Nutrition and Physical Activity Program to support
state health departments and their partners in developing and implementing
targeted nutrition and physical activity interventions in an effort to
prevent chronic diseases, especially obesity.
Well-Integrated Screening and
Evaluation for Women Across the Nation (WISEWOMAN)
Through the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program
framework, WISEWOMAN provides screening for cardiovascular and other
chronic disease risk factors and offers lifestyle intervention programs to
address these risk factors for uninsured and low-income women aged 40 to
64 years.
The Youth Media
Campaign, VERBTM
The Youth Media Campaign focuses on getting youth excited about increasing
physical activity in their lives, while helping parents, educators, and
youth leaders see the importance of physical activity to the overall
