           OSM AWARDS COLORADO $115,000 TO FUND 
       DUTCH CREEK FLUME CIVIL PENALTY PROJECT

The Interior Department's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and
Enforcement (OSM) has awarded Colorado federal civil penalty funds totaling

 15,000 to fund the Dutch Creek Flume civil penalty project in Pitkin County.

    The funding comes from civil penalty assessments OSM has collected from
coal operators for violations of the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of
1977 (SMCRA).
