Health, United States is an annual report on national trends in health statistics. The 2003 report includes a highlights section, chartbook, and 151 trend tables. The 1996-97 publication included an injury chartbook.

Healthy People 2010 contains 467 objectives designed to serve as a road map for improving the health of all people in the United States during the first decade of the 21st century.

International Collaborative Effort (ICE) on Injury Statistics

The purpose of ICE is to improve international comparability and quality of injury data. The ultimate goal is to provide the data needed to better understand the causes of injury and the most effective means of prevention.

National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC)

NCIPC works to reduce morbidity, disability, mortality, and costs associated with injuries. As the lead Federal agency for injury prevention, NCIPC works closely with other Federal agencies; national, State, and local organizations; State and local health departments; and research institutions.  The NCIPC site offers fact sheets, data, publications, and other information resources.

National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is the Federal agency responsible for conducting research and making recommendations for the prevention of work-related disease and injury. NIOSH is responsible for conducting research on the full scope of occupational disease and injury ranging from lung disease in miners to carpal tunnel syndrome in computer users.

Injury Prevention Web (IPW)

The Injury Prevention Web hosts the Web sites of several agencies and organizations working to prevent injuries. This site contains a weekly literature update of recent journal articles and agency reports, injury data for every State, more than 1400 links to government and nonprofit injury prevention sites worldwide, suggestions of books for your library, and the gateway for information about scheduled teleconference sessions.
