FEMA is changing the way it helps communities repair and rebuild facilities damaged by disaster; from an inspection and enforcement role, to an advisory and supportive role. As you may already know the focus of the Public Assistance Program has changed to provide a higher level of customer service to applicants for Public Assistance.

People - are one of the critical elements of our commitment to customer service. New roles and responsibilities have changed to reduce the amount of time and money spent administratively and to enable program staff to develop increased job proficiencies. The program includes a commitment by FEMA to ensure the cadre is knowledgable, experienced, and well trained.
