FOIA/PA Act Positions Available at Federal Agencies

The Office of Information and Privacy has learned of the following Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act-related positions that are currently available at federal agencies:

• The Department of Agriculture is looking for a "Freedom of Information Act or legislative analyst" to serve as the FOIA and Privacy Act officer of its Agricultural Marketing Service. The position is at the GS-11/12 level, with promotion potential to GS-13. • The Department of the Treasury is looking for an information technology specialist to serve as the "Disclosure Services Officer" of its of its Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia. The position is at the GS-12 level, involves making disclosure decisions under the FOIA and the Privacy Act, and includes responsibility for managing the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center entire "disclosure program." • The Department of Defense is looking for a FOIA and Security Review Specialist to work on FOIA and Privacy Act matters in its Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office in Arlington, VA. The position is at the GS 13/14 level, depending upon experience. Anyone interested in this position should refer to the Department of Defense's vacancy announcement number WHS-02-1350-BT (closing date 10/1/02).
