FOIA/Privacy Act Positions Available at Federal Agencies

The Office of Information and Privacy has learned of the following Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act-related positions that are currently available at federal agencies:

• The United States Office of Special Counsel (OSC) is looking for a Management and Program Analyst (FOIA/Privacy Act Program Coordinator) to serve in OSC's Planning and Advice Division. The position is at the GS-11/12 level, depending upon experience. Anyone interested in this position should refer to OSC vacancy announcement number OSC-03-02 (closing date 2/7/03) or may contact John Brennan of OSC at (202) 653-9485. • The Office of the Secretary in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is looking for eight Privacy Program Specialists to serve in its Office for Civil Rights in Washington, D.C. and five regional offices. Selected candidates will work exclusively with health-record privacy issues pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and should be familiar with the medical records privacy rule promulgated by HHS. These positions are at the GS-13 level. Anyone interested should refer to HHS vacancy announcement number OS-03-009 (closing date 2/4/03).
