Justice Department FOIA Course to Be Held in Albuquerque
The
Office of Information and Privacy, in conjunction with the Department of Justice's
National Advocacy Center (NAC), is pleased to announce an addition to the Department's
Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act training opportunities for Fiscal Year
2005, one that should be of particular interest to FOIA personnel who work well
beyond the East Coast of the United States.
By
special arrangement this year, and for the first time in more than six years,
the Department's basic FOIA-training program will be conducted outside of Washington,
D.C. and the NAC's Columbia, South Carolina location. The "Freedom of Information
Act and Privacy Act for Attorneys and Access Professionals," a three-day training
program covering both access statutes, will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico,
on November 16-18.
This
FOIA-training program is open to any federal government employee, free of charge
on a first-come/first-served basis, but travel expenses remain the responsibility
of the attendee's agency. Further information about this program, including
