Privacy Act Position Available at Federal Agency

The Office of Information and Privacy has learned of a highly exceptional Privacy Act-related position that is currently available at a federal agency:

• The Internal Revenue Service of the Department of the Treasury is looking for an individual to serve as Director of its Office of Privacy. This is a Senior Executive Service position, with a salary range of $103,700-$145,600, depending upon experience and SES placement. The Director is the IRS's expert on privacy protection and will implement policies designed to protect taxpayer and employee privacy. The position has existed for only several years and until recently was referred to as the "IRS Privacy Advocate."
