DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

AstraZeneca L.P., Wilmington, Del., is being awarded a $34,100,440 firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery type contract for proton pump inhibitors. Work will be performed in West Point, Penn., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. U.S. Foods International, Inc.*, Gardena, Calif., is being awarded a $23,000,000 indefinite quantity contract for prime vendor full line food distribution for the Republic of Korea. Work will be performed in La Mirada, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 22, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Creative Apparel Associates*, Belmont, Maine, is being awarded a $20,406,359 firm fixed price indefinite quantity contract for chemical protective coats and trousers. One proposal was solicited and one was received. Work will be performed in Harmony, Princeton and Eastport, Maine, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded an $17,063,909 (not-to-exceed) modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for various spare parts in support of the Readiness Support Package for the C-17 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is January 2002. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity. Martin Trent, (937) 255-1240 is the POC. Northrop Grumman Corp., Rolling Meadows, Ill., is being awarded a $14,534,907 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 8 Low Altitude Infrared Targeting and Navigating (LITENING) II pods applicable to the F-16 aircraft for the Air National Guard, and War Readiness Spares for the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve. Rockwell International Corp., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $10,828,580 modification to a time and materials contract to provide for Phase One of the Pacer CRAG (Compass, Radar, and Global Positioning System) Special Purpose Aircraft Modification (SPAM) upgrade program for special purpose C/KC-135 aircraft. Phase One provides for engineering, planning, data, software development, requirements analysis, and modification of three aircraft. Expected contract completion date is October 2001. Solicitation issue date was Sept. 5, 2000. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 18, 2000. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity. McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded an $8,189,363 (not-to-exceed) modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for analysis, development, design, and implementation of three-level (depot, intermediate, and base level) maintenance capability for the Extended Range Fuel Containment System (ERFCS) applicable to the C-17 aircraft. This effort includes spares and support equipment. The ERFCS is an auxiliary fuel tank that can be installed in the cargo bay of the C-17 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is September 2001. Solicitation issue date was May 15, 2000. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity. ARMY

J.F. Brennan Co., Inc.*, La Crosse, Wis., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price contract with a cumulative total of $16,167,229 for Stage II major rehabilitation of Lock and Dam No. 12 on the Mississippi River at Jackson County, Iowa and Jo Daviess County, Ill. Work will be performed at Belview, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by September 17, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 118 bids solicited (Negotiated RFP - best value source selection) on June 9, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity, (DACW25-00-C-0017).

Carothers Construction, Inc., Birmingham, Ala., is being awarded a $13,519,500 firm-fixed-price contract for the designing/building-renovation/addition to the Headquarters, U.S. Air Force Reserve Building. The project consists of space/use planning, design and construction of approximately 130,000 square feet of renovations and approximately 25,000 square feet of additions to this facility. New construction will consist of the addition of third floors to the east and west annexes, and several 3-story electrical and mechanical towers for new heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), electrical and communications equipment and distribution systems. Work will be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., and is expected to be completed by February 1, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 74 bids solicited on June 12, 2000, and 2 bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity, (DACA21-00-C-0047).

General Dynamics Government Systems Corporation, Taunton, Mass., is being awarded a $9,671,191 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract (DAAB07-94-C-N853) to exercise the option for common hardware/software items for Project Manager Army Tactical Command and Control Systems (PM ATCCS) computer and associated peripheral equipment for battlefield commanders. Work will be performed at Taunton, Mass., and is expected to be completed by April 10, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 50 bids solicited on April 21, 1994, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity.

Oshkosh Truck Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., is being awarded a $9,268,746 firm-fixed-price contract for the purchase of 266 transmissions and containers for the Heavy Equipment Transporter Systems. Work will be performed at Indianapolis, Ind. (79.6%), Springfield, Ohio (8.6%), and Oshkosh, Wis. (11.8%), and is expected to be completed by June 20, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Bids were solicited on the World Wide Web on July 7, 2000, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-00-C-S080).

Phoenix Construction Services, Inc.*, Lynn Haven, Fla., is being awarded a $7,159,142 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction upgrade of Red Cloud Alpha Range. Work consists of modernization and upgrading existing tank gunnery range to an automated multi-purpose training range to support tank and Bradley Fighting Vehicle gunnery. Primary facilities include all construction within the perimeter of the range complex and consists of firing lanes, tank trails, service roads, moving and stationary target emplacement, stationary personnel target emplacement, target storage buildings, vehicle maintenance and holding areas, ammunition holding area with loading dock, control tower, operations/storage building, training building, bleacher enclosure, covered mess, latrines, information systems and site improvements. Work will be performed at Fort Stewart, Ga., and is expected to be completed by October 1, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 90 bids solicited on May 16, 2000, and nine bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity, (DACA21-00-C-0050).

A.S. Horner, Inc.*, Albuquerque, N.M. is being awarded a $5,215,084 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract (DACA47-00-C-0019) for the remaining two options for the design and construction of an airfield ramp to replace the existing deteriorating and aged airfield ramp. Work will be performed at Kirtland Air Force Base, Bernalillo, N.M., and is expected to be completed by August 15, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 85 bids solicited on March 27, 2000, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque, N.M., is the contracting activity.

NAVY

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $13,535,000 priced basic ordering agreement order for the procurement of 756 line items of various spare parts used on the F414-GE-400 Engine on the F/A-18 (E/F) aircraft. Work will be performed at Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-00-0001-5007).

C. E. Wylie Construction Company, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $9,935,380 firm-fixed-price contract for repair and alterations to Hangar #2, Building K-215, at the Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by April 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured with six offers received. The Southwest Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-98-C-5078).

Ray Communications Inc., Philadelphia, Pa., is being awarded a $9,884,865 total ceiling price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to furnish cable plant design and installation services for the voice/data network at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pa. Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa., and is expected to be completed by September 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $659,405 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Internet with six offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N65540-00-D-0003).

Allied Signal Technical Service Corp., Columbia, Md., is being awarded a $6,077,086 modification to previously awarded contract N00421-98-C-1270 to exercise an option for engineering and logistics services to support the Light Airborne Multi-Purpose Systems MK III AN/SRQ-4 Data Link. This modification will provide an estimated level of effort of 124,000 man-hours. Work will be performed in Columbia, Md. (80%) and St. Inigoes, Md. (20%), and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.
