The Boeing Company, Seal Beach, Calif. is being awarded a $479,713,427 modification to a fixed-price-award-fee contract to provide for development and support of the Operational Control Segment for the Global Positioning System. This action includes operations and maintenance support, hardware and software maintenance, and depot and supply support through December 2000, and options for further operations and maintenance support, hardware and software maintenance, and depot and supply support. The work will be performed at The Boeing Co., Seal Beach, Calif. (30%); Lockheed Martin Corp., Gaithersburg, Md. (35%); and Computer Sciences Corp., Rockville, Md. (35%). McDonnell Douglas Corp., Berkeley, Mo., is being awarded a $44,950,828 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for engineering and manufacturing development of an MK-82 (500 lb.) variant of the Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) onto the F-16 aircraft. There was one firms solicited and one proposal submitted. Solicitation began June 2000; negotiations were completed September 2000. Work is expected to be completed December 2002. Ingalls Shipbuilding, Inc., Pascagoula, Miss., is being awarded a $57,619,797 cost-plus-award-fee contract for Planning Yard Services for DD 963 and CG 47 class ships. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Miss., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $4,625 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Lockheed Martin Information Systems, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $27,969,890 fixed-price-incentive delivery order for the procurement of the EA-6B Improved Capabilities Program (ICAP III) that consists of two weapon systems trainers; two operational flight/navigation trainers; one team tactics trainer; and one maintenance training unit. Sundt/Ninteman (a joint venture), Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $15,795,716 firm-fixed-price Task Order 0002 under a multiple award construction contract for all services, labor, equipment and materials to provide demolition of existing housing and construction of 102 new replacements housing units and landscaping, streets, and utilities at the Victory Homes housing area at Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island. Work will be performed in Oak Harbor, Wash., and is expected to be completed by December 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively negotiated with 106 proposals solicited, seven offers received and award made to multiple contractors on May 12, 2000. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $250,000,000 (base period and four option years). The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract. Four offers were received for this task order. McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $10,352,199 ceiling priced modification to previously awarded fixed price incentive fee contract N00019-97-C-0136 to incorporate a trailing edge control surfaces buffet redesign and retrofit engineering change proposal into 6 F/A-18D and 10 F/A-18F low rate initial production 2 (LRIP II) aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (59.61%), Mesa, Ariz. (22.73%); Melbourne, Australia (17.42%); and Cecil Field, Fla. (.24%) and is expected to be completed by December 2003. CECI/TKTM (a joint venture)*, Las Vegas, Nev., is being awarded an $8,631,262 firm-fixed-price contract for whole site repair and revitalization of 129 units at the Crescent Harbor housing area at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Work will be performed in Oak Harbor, Wash., and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 17 proposals solicited and three offers received. Work includes removal of all existing steam, condensate return, and sewer piping from existing utilidor and replace in kind with new, as well as removal and disposal of asbestos containing materials and upgrades at some manhole locations. Paragon Project Resources, Inc.*, Dallas, Texas, is being awarded a $5,866,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of approximately 12 kilometers of paved surface of varied widths and sections, up to 99,000 square meters of hardstand area of varied sections, and storage pads with lightening protection. Optional bid items include a portion of hardstand area and lighting for a hardstand. The project includes a scale for weighing fully loaded tracked and combat vehicles. Work will be performed at Fort Hood, Texas and is expected to be completed by May 3, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Longbow Limited Liability Company, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $5,679,983 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract (DAAH23-99-O-0012) for additional war reserve spares to support deployment for Fire Control Radar Systems. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md. and Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by September 30, 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on August 16, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
