Geographic Sciences

The BLM-Utah Branch of Geographic Sciences is responsible for statewide cadastral surveying, mapping, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geospatial digital products, Geographic Coordinate Data Base (GCDB) and developing and maintaining survey and land records of the United States under various Acts of Congress.

This organization is responsible for the surveys of all federal lands within Utah. The Branch is involved with traditional cartography, spatial data, GIS, GPS, and remote sensing. Although the organization recently changed its name from the Branch of Cadastral Survey, cadastral surveying remains the oldest Bureau of Land Management (BLM) program and is the framework all land title (public and private) for the United States. We hope to give you easy access to all of our digital data and links to the others who are in the same business.
