Collaboration

The Center is a collaboration between Oregon Health & Science University and the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research, which has strong expertise in the areas of prevention effectiveness, health economics, and managed care. Since 1964, the CHR has conducted public domain research on a broad range of health and medical care issues, using Kaiser Permanente's large operating medical and dental care system as a research setting and laboratory. Other scientific partners include the Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the Center for Outcomes Research and Education, part of the Providence Health System in Portland. This collaboration enjoys support from, and seeks to serve, private organizations and governmental agencies engaged in the delivery of care services throughout the Northwest.
