MEMORANDUM FOR CORRESPONDENTS
Deputy Secretary of Defense John Deutch will leave Washington, D.C. on
Saturday, February 18 for Bonn, Germany. The visit to Bonn is to participate
in a February 20 ceremony for the signing of a Statement Of Intent for the
Medium Extended Air Defense System.
The United States, France, Germany and Italy will enter into the agreement to
develop a new low-to-medium altitude tactical air defense system
Deputy Secretary Deutch will return to Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, February
21.
