Carothers Construction, Incorporated, Water Valley, Mississippi, is beingawarded a $7,596,000 firm fixed price contract for additions and alterations tothe Logistics Systems Operation Center which consists of construction of aone-story masonry computer facility addition, approximately 24,000 square feet;alterations to the Weapons Systems Support Facility, which consists ofalterations to an existing facility (approximately 370,000 square feet) toinclude interior upgrade of restrooms, hallways, heating, ventilation and airconditioning, replacing exterior doors, windows, handrails, lamp covers, andexterior finishes.
Work will be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia,and is expected to be completed by March 30, 1997.
Contract funds will notexpire at the end of the current fiscal year.
