CONTRACTS

ARMY

Carothers Construction, Incorporated, Water Valley, Mississippi, is beingawarded a $7,596,000 firm fixed price contract for additions and alterations tothe Logistics Systems Operation Center which consists of construction of aone-story masonry computer facility addition, approximately 24,000 square feet;alterations to the Weapons Systems Support Facility, which consists ofalterations to an existing facility (approximately 370,000 square feet) toinclude interior upgrade of restrooms, hallways, heating, ventilation and airconditioning, replacing exterior doors, windows, handrails, lamp covers, andexterior finishes. Work will be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia,and is expected to be completed by March 30, 1997. Contract funds will notexpire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 52 bids solicited onMarch 24, 1995, and 3 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. ArmyCorps of Engineers, Savannah, Georgia (DACA21-95-C-0089).

GTE Government Systems Corporation, Taunton, Massachusetts, is being awardedan $11,553,732 firm fixed price contract for Mobile Subscriber Equipment (MSE)Program Support, at Depot and Regional Support Centers. Work will be performedat Taunton, Massachusetts (75%), Fort Hood, Texas (5%), Fort Lewis, Washington(6%), Fort Bragg, North Carolina (5%), and Benshein, Germany (9%), and isexpected to be completed by October 31, 2008. Contract funds will not expireat the end of the current fiscal year. There were 143 bids solicited onFebruary 7, 1984, and 2 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S.Army Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey(DAAB07-86-D-K023).

Guyco, Incorporated, Lampasas, Texas, is being awarded $300,000 (guaranteedminimum) as part of a $40,995,000 (base year with two option years) firm fixedprice indefinite quantity construction contract with time and materialscapabilities, for a wide variety of maintenance, repair and minor newconstruction. Work will be performed at Fort Hood, Texas, and is expected tobe completed by August 31, 1996. Of the total contract funds, $300,000 willexpire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 72 bids solicited onJune 30, 1995, and 6 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. ArmyCorps of Engineers, Fort Worth, Texas (DACA63-95-D-0050).

Kiewitt Network Technologies, Omaha, Nebraska, is being awarded a $100,000increment as part of a $25,000,000 firm fixed price, indefinitedelivery/indefinite quantity contract for electronic security systems.Performance locations are not known at this time and will be determined whenindividual delivery orders are issued, however, work is expected to becompleted by August 20, 2000. Of the total contract funds, $100,000 willexpire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 70 bids solicited onDecember 21, 1994, and 12 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville, Alabama (DACA87-95-D-0037).

AIR FORCE

ITT Federal Services Corporation, Colorado Springs, Colorado, is being awardeda $50,174,372 face value increase to a Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract for FY1996 operation and maintenance support for the Western Test Range, includingdesign and implementation of improvements to accommodate future requirements.The work will be performed at ITT/Federal Services Corporation, Vandenberg,California. Contract is expected to be completed September 1996. Contractfunds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The 30th SpaceWing, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California is the contracting activity(F04703-91/C-0110, P00525).

Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Baltimore, Maryland, is being awarded a$37,780,929 Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract for seven reprogrammable radarpods and six avionics pods applicable to the Advanced Airborne InterceptorSimulator. Contract is expected to be completed September 1999. Contractfunds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 75bids solicited and 4 proposals received. Solicitation began April 1995 andnegotiations were complete August 1995. Air Force Development Test Center,Eglin Air Force Base, Florida is the contracting activity (F08635-95/C-0018).

Rome Research Corporation, New Hartford, New York, is being awarded an$11,478,804 Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract for a range of engineering services tosupport Research, Development, Test and Evaluation of advanced technologyevaluation programs conducted by Rome Laboratory, Griffiss Air Force Base, NewYork. The work will be performed at Rome Research Corporation, Rome, New York.Contract is expected to be completed August 1998. Contract funds will notexpire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 74 firms solicitedand 2 proposals received. Solicitation began May 1995 and negotiations werecomplete August 1995. Rome Laboratory, Rome, New York is the contractingactivity (F30602-95/C-0072).
