Secretary Rumsfeld to Attend Australia-U.S. Ministerial Talks
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld departs Washington tomorrow for a visit to Canberra, Australia, where he will attend the Australia-U.S. ministerial talks (AUSMIN). The participants in AUSMIN include Rumsfeld, secretary of State Colin Powell, and their Australian counterparts, minister for Defense Peter Reith and Foreign Minister Alexander Downer.
The talks will focus on regional and global security issues, as well as bilateral defense relations.
Rumsfeld returns to Washington on Tuesday, July 31.
