CONTRACTS

ARMY

United Defense L.P., Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded a $12,189,235 modification to firm-fixed-price contract (with cost-plus-fixed-fee systems technical support contract line items) DAAE07-01-C-N030 for two Heavy Equipment Recovery Combat Utility Lift and Evacuation System (HERCULES) Vehicles for the U.S. Army and five for the U.S. Marine Corps. Work will be performed in York, Pa. (65%), and Anniston, Ala. (35%), and completion is expected by Sept. 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 17, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-C-N030).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Environmental Chemical Corp.*, Burlingame, Calif., is being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-reimbursement contract (an appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) with a cumulative total of $100,000,000 for a pre-placed remedial action contract for cleanup of a variety of sites located in the Corps of Engineers Northwest Division and EPA Region II. Work will be performed in the Northwest Division in the following states: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri; and in EPA Region II: New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Completion is expected by June 19, 2006. There were 140 bids solicited on Jan. 28, 2000, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo., is the contracting activity (DACW41-01-D-0023).

E. A. Engineering, Science & Technology Inc.*, Lincoln, Neb., was awarded on June 30, 2001, a delivery order amount of $500,000 as part of an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-reimbursement contract (an appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) with a cumulative total of $25,000,000 for long-term operations/long-term monitoring contract work assigned to the Corps of Engineers Northwest Division and EPA Region VII. Work will be performed in the Northwest Division in the following states: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri; and in EPA Region VII: Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. Completion is expected by March 30, 2006. There were 98 bids solicited on Sept. 8, 2000, and 12 bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo., is the contracting activity (DACW41-01-D-0017).

Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded $1,000 as part of a $10,436,120 firm-fixed-price contract for construction dredging, Phase 1, a 38-foot project, cut F through cut G, Duval County, Fla. Work will be performed in Jacksonville Harbor, Fla., and completion is expected by March 1, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 72 bids solicited on March 14, 2001, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville, Fla., is the contracting activity (DACW17-01-C-0023).

AIR FORCE

Sierratech Inc., Buffalo, N.Y., is being awarded a $21,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract to provide for upgrade of the Unmanned Threat Emitters at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. This includes acquisition of four Unmanned Threat Emitters, upgrade of two Unmanned Threat Emitters and upgrade of the Operator Control Group and Microwave Backbone. At this time, $15,825,000 of funds have been obligated. This work is expected to be completed October 2003. Solicitation began June 2001; negotiations were completed June 2001. The Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42600-01-C-0025).

Neolinear Inc., Pittsburgh, Pa., is being awarded a $5,396,115 cooperative agreement ($3,750,000 government portion; $1,646,115 awardee portion) to provide for research and development of improvements in design automation required for affordable mixed electronic-photonic systems. At this time, $400,000 of funds have been obligated. This effort will be performed by Neolinear Inc., Pittsburgh, Pa. (74%), and Coventor Inc., Cary, N.C. (26%). This work is expected to be completed June 2003. Solicitation began October 2000; negotiations were completed June 2001. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-01-2-1970).
