Sytronics Inc., Dayton, Ohio (F33657-01-D-2076), and Karta Technologies Inc., San Antonio, Texas (F33657-01-D-2078), are being awarded a $3,000,000,000 (program maximum) multiple award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity type contract with multiple pricing arrangements. These are two of the final eleven contractors to participate in the Training Systems Acquisition II Program. This program provides for a range of training system products and services for customers including the Air Force, other Department of Defense organizations and foreign military sales customers. This includes the design, development, testing, production, modification, upgrade, delivery and sustainment of training systems. At this time, $10,000 has been obligated to each contractor. The contractors will perform their efforts at the aforementioned sites and at other locations. Solicitation began January 2001. The Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga. is being awarded a $19,383,997 cost-plus-award-fee contract modification to provide for design of a modification to incorporate the Aeronautical Flight Control System into the Avionics Modernization Program for the C-5 aircraft. At this time, $7,598,208 has been obligated. This work is expected to be completed May 2004. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98-C-006-P00025).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $5,700,000 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for trade studies and engineering services in support of modification of Coast Guard C-130J aircraft into the HC-130J (search and rescue) configuration. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work is expected to be completed March 2002. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-00-C-0018-P00005).

Caterpillar Inc., Mossville, Ill., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $8,641,620 as part of a $49,775,000 firm-fixed-price requirements contract for 90 vehicles and 90 vehicle attachments. This contract calls for up to 375 Caterpillar model T9 D7G bulldozers and up to 80 Caterpillar model 988B rough terrain material handlers over a five-year period. Work will be performed at commercial Caterpillar dealers located throughout the United States and completion is expected by May 3, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-01-D-T030).

Raytheon Co. - C31 Systems, Fort Wayne, Ind., is being awarded a five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contract with an estimated cumulative total of $49,000,000 for AN/PSC-5 Satellite Communications Demand Assignment Multiple Access Manpack Terminal (SPITFIRE) spares. This five-year contract includes one base year and four one-year options. Work will be performed in Largo, Fla. (85%), and Fort Wayne, Ind. (15%), and completion is expected by June 30, 2006. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 8, 2001. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-01-D-A022).

ITS Medical Systems LLC, Norcross, Ga., is being awarded $7,649,413 as part of a $39,946,587 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide operations of three Regional Training Sites-Medical (RTS-MED) located at Camp Parks, Calif.; Fort Gordon, Ga.; Fort McCoy, Wis.; and one off-site Joint Readiness Training Center located at Fort Polk, La. The contractor will provide all training, supply, maintenance and administrative support other than those specified as government furnished to operate the RTS-MED facilities and will be responsible for providing the four major elements involved in the operation of RTS-MED transition, operation, mobilization and closure. Work will be performed in Dublin, Calif. (33.3%); Fort McCoy, Wis. (33.3%); and Fort Gordon, Ga. (33.3%), and completion is expected by Feb. 25, 2003. Contract funds are subject to availability. There were 77 bids solicited on May 17, 2001, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort McPherson, Ga., is the contracting activity (DAKF11-01-C-0005).

Sanders, a Lockheed Martin company, Nashua, N.H., is being awarded a $6,000,000 delivery order amount as part of firm-fixed-price contract DAAB07-99-D-B605 for the procurement of 300 maintenance work order kits for the installation and conversion of 300 U.S. Navy basic AN/ALQ-144 infrared countermeasure sets, (IRCM) transmitters into the AN/ALQ-144A, transmitter T-1360A/ALQ-144A baseline configuration, a system engineering and manufacturing development program as a result of cost growths and schedule slips on the program. Work will be performed in Nashua, N.H., and completion is expected by May 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 25, 2001. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity.

SamCorp General Contractors*, El Paso, Texas, is being awarded $4,758,000 as part of a $5,734,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an approximately 2,500 square meter building to include excavation, concrete foundation and floor slab, structural steel framing, masonry walls and standing seam metal roof, including multipurpose, isolation and storage rooms, kitchen, fenced playground area, outdoor shade pavilions and all other necessary support for this facility. Work will be performed at the MCAF/BRAC Child Development Center, Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, and completion is expected by Dec. 6, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 119 bids solicited on June 8, 2001, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACA63-01-C-0007).

American Apparel Inc., Selma, Ala., is being awarded a $7,373,953 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract for all-weather coats for the Air Force/Coast Guard. There were 40 proposals solicited, and three responded. Performance completion date is expected to be Nov. 1, 2002. Funds will expire at the end of fiscal year 2001. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity. (SP0100-99-D-0301)
