Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham today
announced that researchers at Department of Energy (DOE) national
laboratories and companies with research funded by DOE have won 36
of the 100 awards given this year by R&D Magazine for the
most outstanding technology developments with commercial potential.

Neutron Source (SNS), the Department of Energy's largest science
construction project, recently received two awards from the
Tennessee Labor Management Conference -- the Award of Excellence in

Receives National Award For Public Service Excellence
The Council for Excellence in Government has
awarded Larry W. Clark of the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge
Operations Office with its Public Service Excellence Award.
Clark, who serves as Assistant Manager for Nuclear Fuel Supply,
received the honor at ceremonies held September 22 in Washington,
D.C.
