3/25/2004 - WASHINGTON, D.C. -- An EC-130H Compass Call aircraft from the 355th Wing at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, will be at Andrews Air Force Base, Md., March 31, beginning at 8 a.m. EST.
The aircraft's crew will provide a briefing on the role and mission of Compass Call and will be available for questions and answers and/or interviews. In addition, there will be a tour of the aircraft.

Compass Call flew communications jamming missions during the conflict, providing target information for other airborne jamming platforms. The aircraft on display will be equipped with Special Emitter Array (SPEAR). SPEAR allows directional, extremely high power jamming of hostile signals.

Media interested in covering this event should be at the Virginia Gate no later than 7:30 a.m. Media are asked to confirm their interest with the Air Force Press Desk by March 29. For more information, contact Maj. Stephanie Holcombe at (703) 697-1941.
