Health Message Tailoring

Tailored communications allow practitioners to generate highly customized messages on a large scale by using computers.

Empirical research shows that tailored print materials are more effective than non-tailored ones in helping people change health behaviors such as smoking and physical activity.

This site includes general information about message tailoring, as well as specific information about research that has been conducted.
