New Look
The Custom News Service Web pages have been adapted to the new look and feel of the NSF Web site. Clean, attractive pages increase readability. Consistency of design helps the user visually cue in on what he or she needs. Navigation has been simplified and display options have been improved.

New Features
The CNS interfaces were redesigned for easier account sign-up and maintenance. The usability has been improved with fewer screens and click-throughs needed to set up a subscription. More information gathering (optional) in the News Profile page will help NSF send special notifications regarding local events or specialized information whenever available. We have added an on-demand email notification tool including a complete listing of recently published documents to inform the user of any documents missed.

More ways to Subscribe
A new way to register is now available at CNS. The light registration enables the user to register quickly from other NSF pages by simply filling in an email address. The user's profile will then be created or updated to include the related Directorate publications (all document types for the specific program area) whether it is a new user or a current subscriber.
