Real Property Research Raw Data

Telework researchers know that conducting a rigorous study on telework can be difficult. Access to participants is limited and opportunities to conduct research often result from chance encounters with employers or the implementation of a specific telework program. Additionally, although there is a growing body of research in the telework arena, much of this research is unpublished. These difficulties result in missed opportunities to build theory, better understand this emerging organizational trend, and use these learnings to improve telework practices.

This web site has been developed to create an easily accessible forum for researchers in the telework arena to share their data with one another. The goal is to provide researchers with an alternate methodology to primary data collection. Instead, researchers can simply download one or more datasets from this site, re-analyze the data, and develop new insights—ones that also build on previous efforts.

Additionally, once available, results of these research efforts will be shared (e.g., reports, papers, and other materials) on this site. GSA hopes the dissemination of research findings brings everyone full circle, as telework advocates, practitioners, and researchers generate new ideas for further research or new ways to apply research findings.
