  • Item 11 Indian Health Manual [IHM]
    Permanent policies, procedures, and operating standards unique to the IHS administrative and program operations. In addition to the IHM chapters, the IHS Circular format is used to issue temporary IHS operating policy. Special General Memoranda (SGM) are used to interpret or reiterate existing IHS policy that requires special attention by IHS employees.

    Travel Event Requests must be submitted for all group travel involving twenty or more IHS federal employees. The Travel Event Request System web site provides an on-line submission process to account for costs, clarification of the routing of requests, and definitions and instructions.
