Heartland (6) Key Staff in the Heartland Region

Brad Scott, Heartland's Regional Administrator (RA),  oversees a budget of more than $760 million and directs a workforce of 1,014 associates that acquires office space, equipment, supplies, telecommunications, and information technology for federal workers located in 400 government-owned and leased buildings in communities throughout Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. In fact, Brad is one of the Midwest’s largest landlords and property managers, with more than 20 million square feet of space in his charge.

James Ogden, Heartland's Deputy Regional Administrator (DRA), shares with the regional administrator the day-to-day operational management responsibility for regional activities. James makes day-to-day operational and internal management decisions on matters not requiring the regional administrator's review. He takes actions necessary to see that the regional administrator is kept informed of all significant activities.

Stephen Triplett, Federal Supply Service (FSS) Assistant Regional Administrator (ARA), is responsible for programs that include business lines in supply and procurement, travel and transportation, vehicle acquisition and leasing, and personal property.

Jimmy Parker, Federal Technology Service (FTS) Assistant Regional Administrator (ARA), is responsible for overseeing a large operation of telecommunications services, information technology hardware and software acquisition, professional services, and integrated information systems and network solutions.

Mary Ruwwe, Public Buildings Service (PBS) Assistant Regional Administrator (ARA), oversees the management and operations of a portfolio of over 100 federally-owned buildings and approximately 300 leased properties, totaling over 19 million square feet.  Mary works to ensure that the 350 plus PBS associates in The Heartland balance business with other federal agency needs while maintaining the fiduciary responsibility to the American taxpayer.

Patricia Brown-Dixon, Director of Office and Business Support Services, directs the region's office of small and disadvantaged business utilization.  This program includes congressional liaison duties, disaster coordination, competition advocacy, contracting officer warranting, and the regional Equal Employment Office.

Samuel Skare, Regional Counsel, advises the regional administrator, the deputy regional administrator, and the assistant regional administrators for FSS, FTS, and PBS concerning a wide range of legal issues.
