Flu shots: Paul A. Bunn, Jr., M.D., director of the University of Colorado Cancer Center and member of ALCASE's board of Directors and Medical Advisory Committee offers this guidance about flu shots: All lung cancer patients, whether before, during or after therapy should receive a flu vaccine. If possible, the vaccine would be administered before or after therapy. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) has detailed information about influenza, including locations to check for vaccine. |
