Marty Wagner is the associate administrator for governmentwide policy at GSA. He develops and evaluates policies for management of the federal government's internal operations. This covers the acquisition, management and disposal of products and services, internal management processes such as travel, and the use of information technology and electronic commerce. He has served in this capacity since 1995.

Wagner co-chaired the federal government's first interagency electronic commerce effort, directed telecommunications at the Treasury Department, evaluated telecommunications issues at the Office of Management and Budget, and evaluated the economic impact of regulations at the Environmental Protection Agency. He has been a senior manager in information technology and telecommunications at GSA.

Marty Wagner has undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics and engineering from Princeton University. He has consulted on economic and technological issues for the space program.
