Eileen Long-Chelales - Regional Administrator, Northeast and Caribbean Region
Eileen Long-Chelales was appointed Regional Administrator of the General Services Administration's Northeast and Caribbean Region on April 27, 2004. Before joining GSA, Long-Chelales served New York’s Governor Pataki as Deputy Secretary for Administration and Operations. Her responsibilities included the day-to-day administration and operation of the governor’s office. She also oversaw policy for 10 state agencies. Prior to her position as deputy secretary, Long-Chelales was Chief of Staff for New York’s Lieutenant Governor Mary O. Donohue from 1998 until 2002. Long-Chelales first joined Governor Pataki’s administration in 1995 as a deputy press secretary. Long-Chelales holds a bachelor of arts in history from St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights, New York. She attended college on a four-year basketball scholarship.
