Key Staff Susan G. Marshall - Associate Administrator, Performance Improvement
Susan Marshall

Appointed by Administrator Stephen A. Perry on July 18, 2003, Susan G. Marshall became Associate Administrator of GSA’s Office of Performance Improvement. Marshall took on those duties in addition to her position as Senior Policy Advisor to the Administrator.

Marshall joined President Bush's administration in June 2001 as Senior Policy Advisor to Administrator Perry. Prior to her GSA appointment, she worked for the Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs and the House Committee on Government Reform and Oversight. She also has had extensive private-sector experience, including with the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA), Federal Sources Inc., and Aerospace Industries Association of America, Inc.

In 1987, Marshall earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to that, she had attended the University of Exeter in Exeter, England, concentrating on political studies.
